Oct 16, 2021 · I found 2 ways to recovery/clone/copy your character: *Easy One: will recovery your character and your items. *Hard One: will recovery your character but not your items. Easy one (only if you have a Diablo 2 Legacy version): Install Diablo 2 and Lord of Destruction expansion; Create a new expansion character. Start, Save & Exit. Close Game.
Replacing mobo, cpu etc and doing a fresh windows install. I only have online characters, and I'm wondering if these are saved online (ie, I can format the hd and not lose my characters) or if I need to save some specific game file before formatting thank you!

Having some trouble moving the PlugY save path and cant find anything useful online, other than it was able to be changed. In PlugY.ini the path is by default Save\Mod Plugy\ and it doesnt seem like just removing that and pasting in my desired folder path works. Any suggestions? I dont seem to have a "Save Path" entry.

The .d2s file is the only one that's essential - that includes all of your character data, item data, and so on. You may also want to keep the .key file if you've made any changes to hotkeys and so on - that file keeps track of your key 33U5K7.
